If I join the RYA will they give me a bottle of whisky like IPC do with new subscriptions and can I cancel my membership just before renewal to take advantage of any fresh freebies?

Oh pleeease don't give all of our marketing secrets away. Mind you, the RYA tell me you got a free navigator's bag if you took a membership at the show...

Well my brother once had to offer my sister-in-law his camera bag for that purpose (I think he took the camera out) so I guess anything is possible.

if you subscribe to the Honda Marine Owners Club before March 31st by buying an outboard, you get a free 5 year warranty with ownership - and when you renew - you can take it again!
