I'm sat here in Eastleigh with Rod Carr, chief executive of the Royal Yachting Association. He has worked for the RYA since 1982, he is a Yachtmaster and has served as an examiner and as an olympic coach. He has cruised boats for 30 years, most recently sailing a cruising catamaran. Rod was appointed chief executive in 2000. We've had a chance to look at the questions submitted thus far; I may edit them slightly for length as we roll them out and Rod has had a chance to look at the more complicated of the earliest submissions in order to pull together answers in consultation with his team. This will be a very busy session and we'll aim to get through as many of the questions, plus any follow-on comments, in that time. After that I'll let you all know where it goes from there. Thanks for your interest. kim_hollamby@ipcmedia.com |

I would like to propose a big thankyou to Kim for setting up this opportunity for all of us. An extra large thankyou must also go to the RYA & Rod Carr who, I feel, should get a bravery award for his efforts here. Regards Martin |
