Hi - I recently bought a used CallBouy marine distress radio made by Callbouy Marine of Gwent and am trying to find some more info about it - done the usual Googling but drawn a blank. It's basically a handlheld SSB dedicated to, I guess, coms on 2182kHz only. It's probably the type of thing that may have been lifeboat equipment once upon a time on ships' lifeboats or deep sea FVs. Has anyone ever come across one of these or anything similar? I'm trying to find out its approx age, if the manufacturer still exists in another guise, if the unit uses 2182kHz etc. Has 2182kHz always been the distress frequency? Any info appreciated! Thanks Nigel |

Looking at your previous post, I guess you just looked for 'callbouy' instead of 'callbuoy'. |
