i think Geoff's up for it too.

what about the rest of ya scurvy dogs???

opps... nearly went into pirate mode.

that would never do.

possibly not the Osborne this year... iv'e got this far and i'm not rushing the finish!.. so might rinse the S20 out and use her for the weekend.

anyway, it'd be nice to meet up over a mince pie again.

have only vague recollections of curry.....?????????

do remember leaving Col and co in Dolphin one Dec to head back Rockley at about 0200h wind, rain etc and BarryH following close behind (apparantly to keep my running light in view!) HOO's better half and Vicky patiently trying to persude us that a cab would be a better idea.......

ah those Poole meets..........

Re: POOLE AT CHRISTMAS???

in those days i was married... SWMBO wouldn't have let me stay out that late!

i think we were staying at the travel inn round the corner.

if things go right, the Osborne might be back in the water... how i look forward to that!

in any case, it'd be great to have the chance to meet up with all the old crew again. there's some local (ish) people that have expressed an interest before.. if this was a regular occurance, i'm sure we'd all benefit.

i guess as people see this post, there may be an increase in interest.. we'll have to see what happens... suffice to say with longer to consider options... and a lot more time on my hands to make arrangements, we could make a decent meet happen.

steve.

If you get the Osborne on the water, I'll crew. I don't have whole weekends to myself anymore, so bringing Iditarod round for the weekend is not a luxury I have very often. One night is easier to negotiate.

We don't usually go far 'cos weather not too hot (pun intended!!!), I think the first year we got as far as the harbour entrance, with Steve nearly capsizing Barry's boat. It was b..b..b..blommin cold.

Usually sit on boats blowing the froth off a few, downing Duncan's mulled wine and off for a curry in the evening. Not as boring as I make it sounds. I'll see if I tempt GC1 into coming.
