East coast august trip to Oostende
|
OK.... lots of people keen to do a second trip across to Oostende over the August bank holiday weekend... so rather than hijack Yanitas thread for the coming weekend, lets start a new one....
Plan for a group trip across, similar to current one, with a meet up in Oostende for appropriate jovial companionship and comraderie!
Weekend is 27th to 29th August.....
Suggest we meet up in Oostende evening on 27th....
Anyone up for a meet, and/or possibly a crossing in company?
Tenative boat names/crewing volunteers detail here please!
Suspect that we'll need to book berths for this weekend, so lets get something organised sooner rather than later....
Alternatively, also feel free to suggest different destinations... perhaps a more southerly trip to one of the channel ports? Maybe a Ramsgate start, and then we might gather a few of the Brighton/Eastbourne crowd as well?
PS, for those going across for May bank holiday, have a great trip!

Suggestions from others include a possibly interesting plan...
Friday run across to Dunkerque or similar close by...
Saturday socialising....
Sunday run back, allowing for those that have plans for Bank Holiday Monday to still participate....
Thoughts?

Of course.......
Ramsgate has less nightclubs than the IoW... so you might even make it this time

Will,
There was no interest, so nothing has been arranged....
Suspect we'll do a run across to Oostende later in the year.... I'll let you know dates if we organise anything, and you would be most welcome to a berth if you aren't away on Yanita....

well I went last week + got the weather right for a change.
Had moules + frit with Will & very they were too
