How do I delete some of my old posts?

Some of my posts don't deserve to be there! I want to delete them. Can't work out how to do it.

You can't once the initial period of grace (1hr? 2hrs?) has expired. You will have to ask the moderators to do it for you.
Tip: always pause while in preview and ask yourself if you really want to continue.

You do know that everyone will now look up your old posts to see what you have said.
