Leaking tank fitting

What's the best think to seal a weeping diesel tank fitting? (It's a screw thread) - can I use Sika 291?

Re: Leaking tank fitting

Try red hermetite. If its a paralell thread, add a bit of plumbers hemp to give you something to tighten up to. If its a tapered thread, just the hermetites the thing. Its semi hardening so once its been on for 10 mins or so dont muck about with it or you may break the seal.

Cheers Colin
