mercury 4hp sailmate

water cooling problems? where are the tell tale cooling water outlet? there is a plug top of leg is this any thing to do with cooling system? motor has stood for a while.

You should be able to download an owners manual from the Download Center tab on THIS WEBSITE
To resurrect a outboard that has not been use in a while there is good advice in the iBoats forums Engine FAQs HERE
generally you will find useful articles among those FAQs and the Mercury Mariner Forum at iBoats is an excellent source of help and and advice specifically on those engines SEE HERE
Tell us the year and/or model number and perhaps we can find some more specific info.
