Mariner 8hp o/b

slim chance I know, but as I stupidly forgot to inform the insurance company of my change in outboard, I'm not insured for the theft of the mariner 8hp. If anyone comes across one or knows anything about a dodgy mariner knocking about, I'd love to hear from you.

Nonsense? Not many thieves of 8hp outboards are professionals insofar as they'll be bothered or have the facilities to replace serial numbers. Most thieves are opportunists and sell stuff on in pubs, freeads or boatjumbles with serial numbers intact. Supplying a serial number is the the first line in identifying a bent motor or other bit of kit.

Thank you for the reasuring thought Brian, I must be getting cynical in my old age. I'm definately going senile (I can't find the serial number!) but it was blue!! I told you it was a slim chance, but if it's any help the blue paint on the left hand side of the leg was peeling where it was touched up. It also had a smart little toolbag inside the hood.
