I have a 6-man Lifeguard raft, Solas B pack, serviced annually from new: from my own sea-school yacht: next service due April. I was about to offer it for sale at £200. No longer required since I retired and we now sail only as a couple, with a 4-man raft. PM?

I am really looking for something thats past its useful life at sea and therfore a bit cheaper. I shall only be using it in the pool.

Doug, I know its a long time since I was in touch, but Cosalt have finally got round to estimating the repairs on our liferaft. (I had the letter last week after several letters of complaint. I will decline (they quote nearly £700 for refurbishing a very old 8 man) and its more than we need - we've already got a two year old Plastimo that we bought for coding our last boat.
If you want it, its at Cosalt, Saltash - although I will have to tell them that you are collecting it.
I am not sure if there is an inspection fee to pay. If there is it might be about £50 - would it be unreasonable to ask you to pay this or split it between us. Whereabouts are you? I sometimes travel up the the Solent area and could drop it off?

Pst. has anyone got a 35ft. sailing boat they are giving away got to be in excelent condition of course.. with reliable inboard, diesel of course.... will collect for no charge....
