Re: Freight Caption

Seriously, though, did they not float trucks across rivers by driving them onto a tarpaulin spread on the water and gathering up the sides? It lead to the design and build of the first DUKW, between April 24th and June 12th 1942. Sorry to be a bore....

Good to see them wearing their life jackets.

Mary sat at the back and cried when they told her there was no lifejacket for her. How would she qualify for the Day Skipper without one?

Abdul was determined to reach the UK with his fruit sellling business intact.. mary was lost off the seven stones... to everyones relief.. Lakesailor now takes 18% but considers himself a 'thoughtful' employer....
Asked how he navigated such distant and dangerous waters, abdul replied ......................
"GPS' Idiot, how else...
Lakesailor is now enjoying management at the finest levels, One Jordanian truck pilot could even varnish,,,

RAC deny reason for huge subscription hike is due to having their customers over a barrel..

Re: Freight Caption

Just a cotton-pickin minute: 12 barrels, half sunk, 1200 kilos of buoyancy, nothing extra at the front where the engine is. Is this one of your old tricks?

Re: Freight Caption

looks rather like an early version of James Dyson's Sea Truck - which might solve the problem of the apparent displacement prob for the barrels, as there could be a "box" in which the lorry is sitting.
There seems to be some propellor turbulence at the (rear) blunt end.
