The Sea Stallion.

Just spent a weekend in Dubin fair city.........actually I was a guest on a boat in Poolbeg, The OLD GAFFERS ASSOCIATION were there to see the SEA STALLION leave for Norway. They (OGA) supplied breakfast and evening meals for everybody there and Friday night was all the wine too! Great time had by all

So, I thought a couple of pictures of the Sea Stallion leaving would be of interest.. She is a replica of a Viking Raid ship and quite spectacular. The Gaffers and about 50 motor boats and Yachts escorted her out to sea.

Sea Stallion at the quay about to leave

Just leaving (notice the oars)

Sail raised going down the river

Almost out to sea

Dublin put on a spectacular send off with street entertainment. It was a great atmosphere and enjoyed by all. It did however rain just as she was leaving which took the edge off it a little.

Well done Dublin and The OGA.
