Just happened across this on the Met Office website. The gadget puts an icon on the desktop (Firefox & Vista only) that gives you quick access to forecasts including Shipping & Inshore waters. It seems quite handy. |

Quote: Helina, I have been using the FMI testbed. It covers the south coast down to Hanko. It is even accessible (and just about readable) from a decent mobile phone browser (Nokia S60). For some reason Harmaja has dropped off the reporting stations - but that is OK because you can observations from there from the normal Helsinki weather page. http://testbed.fmi.fi/history_browser.php |

Hi Joe, I've been looking at test bed too, not very bad at all. As for forecasts I use Lokki on the mobile - like it quite a lot. |

Quote: I used Lokki, but found I can get most of it on the normal internet, and most of that is accessible on my phone. I use : testbed Veneily.fi Wind The FMI Helsinki page with Harmaja selected for the observation |

The testbed is nice - have to check how it works with my phone N80. Planning to get Navtex in the near future. |
