Anyone got any suggestions as to where would be the best place in the Med to fit an electronics suite. (Raymarine etc.) Radar, plotter etc.
Turkey? No VAT.
Greece??
Spain/Italy???

Sheppard's are good - although the yard has been developed into flats recently so I am not sure what the situation is.. It is an excellent place to buy the stuff - either mail order or there. There will be talented people - very skilled - either in the liveaboard community or from Sheppard's. Or you could just day sail to Estapona where there are good Spanish guys and the same at Almirima.

thanks again. I will probably be coming from the Ionian and the boat we are looking at is fairly basic in the electronics dept.

when I was last there doing that I got quotes from a couple of mail order UK agencies and then took them into Shepard's who matched them less the freight - but does not matter as couriers take 48 hours 'Yacht in ~Transit' marked on the package.
