I have an Autohelm 2000 with a broken (i.e. in two pieces plus change) Drive Unit - the bit that goes in and out. Has anyone got a broken A2000 that they will part with for spares?

Long story really. I sent mine off to Raymarine for repair which they did but it only worked for about 5mins when I got it back. If they now condem it, which I think they will, whatever you want from it you can have. I know they have a stock of second hand bits but no motors and I think the motor has gone on mine. Do you know what it is you need for yours.??

Hi Ted,
Thanks for the info. I have what was a working motor unit until it was broken in two and some of the gears went down the cockpit drain and were lost. I suspect that given a complete but non-functioning drive unit I could build it back to a complete and working state. Please let me know what happens.

Peter I have spoken to Raymarine today and they think it unlikely that my unit is repairable. They are going to call me back tomorrow with an offer of a discount on a new unit plus refund what I have already spent. Will keep you informed.

Is there still someone out there with a working tiller/motor/ram unit for the old analogue 2000? The motor in mine is u/s!
