Hi all!
This is my first post & I didn't mean to join this forum, as I'm usually a member on the Horse & Hound forum.
However, I can't log-on to the H&H forum and the IPC H&H login page shows a button inviting me to delete Cookies at ybw.com!
The problem is that I can't click the cursor into a text box on H&H, but I had no problems logging in here, creating an account and making a post from my laptop.
I have emailed IPC help who have said the problem is with my Internet security settings
Why, oh why then, is it OK for one IPC forum & not for another? My control panel settings don't adjust themselves according to the webpage I'm looking at.
Has anyone else had a problem like this or have any ideas what I can do to get back onto the Horse & Hound forum?
Confused of Oxford... possibly looking forward to a long night spent chatting about boats!

Welcome,
Perhaps we should explain about BrendanS. The fastest Googler in the West, fixes computer probs, drives a 4x4, and merciless if you haven't read, marked, learned, and inwardly digested every post in sequence.
The rest of us are only a fraction madder than the horse crowd (and I speak as the prime sponsor of a number of nags, horse trailers, and dung removal systems)

Hello BrendanS, I can go to the Horse & Hound forum link OK as a 'lurker' and see posts. I can't login or see how many new replies have been added to a thread. I can't reply to any posts or take part in any voting polls either.

Thanks for your welcome sarabande
Like I said in my OP I may well stick around to read some threads here if I can't get back onto HHO
btw I like the icon. We don't have that one on HHO yet

I've sent you a pm. Can you try logging into H&H using the username and password in the pm
Also, if you know how to manually delete cookies, can you remove all the horse and hound cookies on your computer

OK, that didn't work, as you can't actually type in the text boxes to enter username and password. Have you removed all H&H cookies. When did the problem start. Today? Have you changed anything on your computer prior to the problem starting. Have you tried logging on using another browser like Firefox?

OK, to fill in some background...
I think I deleted all HHO cookies although the button said YBW (I believe it's because you're an IPC sister site).
I have used H&H forum for 2yrs+ without problems.
At Christmas I changed from Norton to McAfee antivirus...HHO worked well for 6wks.
Last weekend I had to download McAfee from the Internet (as I kept getting pop-ups from McAfee saying I wasn't protected).
Since then I've had trouble using H&H with IE at home. I managed to log-on at work, so IPC help said it must be to do with my Security settings.
I lowered these and could log-in, but not post a reply on H&H forum. Then later that same evening, it logged me out unexpectedly. Now I can't even log-in again & seeing as I can post on other Internet forums including this IPC site I'm totally befuddled!
