I suspect its been asked many times before but I've looked but can't find the answer. Why can't you simply paste an image into a new post? As it is you have to upload it to an image hosting site, quote its URL, then ybw has to whizz away and retrieve it. I assume that this saves ybw some storage space but in these days of low cost mass storage, I wonder if there is some other reason. Can someone 'deconfuse' me please?

I imagine its less about the storage and more about the bandwidth costs of delivering said images & dealing with dodgy images (and copyright lawyers, etc etc). Besides - when there are so many free sites for hosting photos, why bother trying to replicate someone elses core competancy?

What would be good though is if someone could write a utility to do the business automatically.
Flock browser already will upload to photobucket any pictures you drag and drop onto the Flock auto uploader, into any directory in photobucket account you have access and password to (one time setup). If you could combine that with a utility to take the photobucket image tagged url for each pic, and load into a ybw post, everyone would be onto a winner.
