The NEW FORMAT
      #150117 - 31/05/2001 16:14

Please, please, please what are you doing? This is becoming more and more less manageable and complicated. The presentation two days ago was better than what it is today. I would have thought that the very original Scuttlebutt was better than what we are having today. SIMPLICITY PLEASE...

It looks more flexible and certainly seems quicker. I suspect it'll just take a bit of getting used to.

Like buying a new boat, things take getting used to. Please email me direct ( karl_askem@ipcmedia.com ) if there is anything else you would like us to incorporate and we'll see what we can do

Thank you Karl,
I am just starting to get the hang of this new format. As it has many additional features which are useful, I think it will be a better version than the previous. I guess one has an initial reaction to not finding the old familiarities. Anyway, We'll use this Scuttlebutt with pleasure provided that the unsavioury characters do not mess it up with their filth. Ta...

No doubt the management is doing its best. However a reasonably good boating and sailing forum has been destroyed for reasons which remain unknown to most of us. It is obvious that the users have not found a way in to the cyberspace maze as the few contributions have even fewer responses.

This is a much better system, like people are saying just give it a go. You'll see that you can do so much more than you could on the old site! And the profiles are fun.

This forum is now far superior to the old one. Once you get used to it it is easier to use and faster.

It is good to see that the number of postings are steadily increasing and without the stupid backbiting that especially Scuttlebutt was carrying.

Keep it up.

Bob

For my first post, and to add to your chat, the board seems good. Better viewed on 'flat'.

IMHO Ultimate Bulletin Board is the best BBS software, but I guess this would have major cost implications for MBY.

Try http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/ for example.

Cheers

I like the new format, find the Flat View really usefull. Also like the "For Sale" and the "Wanted" forums. Keep up the good work.
Like most things there will always be those who resist change.
