Any one sailing into Fowey Cornwall must visit Sam's in the main street. They don't take bookings so you just have to wait at the bar for a free table but heck thats not to difficult. Waits can be anything from 10 mins to an hour. I've found it best to get there for about 6 pm. The sea food is superb and atmosphere great.

Been there several times a few years back - one of our favourite places. Good to hear that it's still on form.

Agreed, very busy place, but well worth the wait. Fresh seafood fantastic and great homemade burgers. People were waiting nearly 2 hours for a table during Regatta week.

IMHO Sams menu has gone downhill this year but nice that they are now open all day - no queueing right down the street at 6.00.
