How come if I select the site from my 'bookmarks' all the little red numbers in brackets have ceased to exist, whilst if I log in they come back?
A small point I know - just treat me as a frustrated sailor, land locked on a Thursday!

I think your bookmark must be aimed at a part of the forums where you are able to read the threads but have not been taken through the log in procedure.
The fix is simple: we've now structured the forums so that you can get full functionality via the following bookmark:
http://www.ybw.com/forums/
Cut and paste that into your browser and then save it as your forums bookmark. It will take you to the log in screen first, then you get all the bells and whistles.
