I have two computers connected as a LAN with a direct (transposed) cable between the two. The purpose is so that the 'second' computer can communicate to the web via the directly connected computer.
Once up and running it works fine. However every time I shut down the 'host' computer I have to go through a whole rigmarole of:
a) using the network wizard to set up a 'home network' on the host computer.
b) creating a new connection session in AOL on the slave computer.
Any Ideas? I have no problems connecting using WiFi at a hotspot, so presumably would have no probs if I had a wireless router in the house.
It's not a huge deal.........just infuriating!
Thanks, Vic
