New design website
      #1744999 - 09/02/2008 18:02

I hope somebody tells me that I'm doing something blatantly obvious wrong but........the new search facility on the boats for sale section is VERY frustrating. WHY can you only search one country at a time?. The old system was far superior. Come on, tell me I've got it wrong, and if not Web-designers please sort it out

Andy,
I thought it was just me!!!!!!!!!!!

Having spent a very happy time last week searching the website getting loads of useful info on boats in UK France Croatia etc etc I log on today to be confronted with the most useless search facility!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only 1 country at a time!
Often after Page 2 - no more boats!

Please what was wrong the old site - IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The forum is being worked on so some things are still under review but for now they've had to adopt Google as the search engine so the problem is with them I'm afraid , but they are still working to replace the old search engine with something that works better , which google doesn't

Totally agree with 123Andy, the new design/functionality is 5 steps backwards - truly awful. On the old system you could quickly scan through a range of boats and see what standard of information was available (photo, full specs, lying in x country).

You could also choose to type in the manufacturer (some yachts are listed by the brokerages by their model name only ie "challeger 35" - made by Trident) Now I see that there is a fixed list of manufacturers in a drop down list & I am sure that some yachts are no longer appearing in the results.

The overall look and feel of the buying section is naff too, larger ugly fonts & a worse layout.

IPC/Yachting XYZ - what have you done & did you actually pay for it ???????. What a mess!!

Unbelievable, I have been watching a selection of six boats from one manufacturer whilst I attempt to sell my own.

Now I can only find one on here and three on Yacht World.

I was going to put in my own advert but now there seems little point as few people will bother to look.

A big NO to new website. I have been using YBW for several years to search for, and salivate over, yachts to consider in my retirement.
Where is the function to search for used boats in $AU from a range of Mediterranean countries. My retirement plan is to purchase such a yacht. But after viewing the new site for the first time today, it looks like one of life's little pleasures has been denied!
