For Dan Foley, please.
Dan,
We have, in the past, exchanged views regarding the effective 'barring' of your overseas based readers from entry into the various magazine competitions.
At the time you responded and undertook to correct this inequity, on the understanding that delivery of prizes would be limited to the UK, and, if I interpreted correctly, the responsibility for onward transmission/carriage would rest with the winner. A fair and equitable solution, I thought.
Recently, however, the 'old' limitations have been creeping back in. As an example, your current competition for a Comar AIS Transponder in Yachting World, the T's & C's read;
4. All competitions are open to readers (over 18) who are resident in the UK and Ireland, except the employees of IPC Media Limited and their families, the printers and distributors of ybw.com and any other company associated with the running and promotion of the competition
Can you have another look at this please?
Many thanks,
Vince O'Neill

Probably more a question that Richard Shead can address than Dan. Dan runs the ybw forums, not the magazines or their competitions. Richard probably has more of an overview of these issues.

Thanks. In the past Dan answered my general plea to YBW, and, amended the T's & C's of the various competitions to include the wanderers. As a matter of continuity I addressed the enquiry to Dan. I am sure if action is to be taken it will need to be debated by the decision makers in general.
