Climbing was great - we went on the "Lost World Expedition", aka "The Indiana Jones Run", on Saturday. This is a huge circuit through the Lanberis slate quarries comprising abseils, a climb, various tunnels and ledges, and some scary climbing on ancient iron ladders and chains. The midair transfer from the bottom of one ladder, which was missing most of its brackets, onto another going in a different direction, was particularly exciting with 300' of air below
This was followed by the rugby in a pub (England ) in Llanberis, and then we watched the start of some other game, but I had to leave after shouting "Allez les Bleus". Not sure why
Sunday was up the north ridge of Tryfan, then Bristly Ridge onto the Glyders, and down the Devil's Kitchen. My legs are sore
Gorgeous drive down the A470 this morning

That sounds fantastic. The only part of your weekend I know is Tryfan from my school geology trip. Scary leaping from Adam to Eve. have I got that right? Nicki

It is at CBYC, owned by either Roy Ackerman or Dave Hurst, and it was sometime in the early 70's
Unless there is another Eureka somewhere around here?
