Sand free now

I have done the unforgivable. Scrobie Sands can chalk up another victim and on 1 April. Gorleston lifeboats, the coast guard and a fishing vessel Even Tide all assisted at a time when the mind is really fully occupied. Grateful doesn't really do it all.

She is now in Goodchilds Marine Services and I hope to get the resources together to get her up and running again.

Do I feel bad and incompetent? Yes.

Sorry to hear that. I hope there were no injuries, other than to your pride. Much damage to your boat?

Of course the pride has taken a beating. But the three of us on board suffered no more than a few knocks and bruises. There is also a stiffness in the joints from being a bit cold.

Bosun has had enough of bouncing on sand though and has sustained damage, mostly confined to below the waterline. We will however, need to see what the survey says and more detailed scrutiny of her bits and pieces.

Thanks for the reply

Really sorry to hear about that, but glad it's 'only' the boat that suffered damage. I hope she can be sorted.

In the meantime if you fancy a sail on the (current) oldest boat in Port Edgar let me know.
