Anybody know if we can pick up a mooring in St. Antonio and whether theyacht club has visitors moorings/berths and how to contact them in St Antonio Ibiza? Thanks for any help. Ken and Jan on Octola used to get a mooring, but I cant contact them and I heard they are going to Mar Menor this year anyway.
Any other places on ibiza to pick up a mooring or berth for three weeks or so at a half arsed reasonable price? We are 17m by the way?

As an add on to Englanders post, is there any truth in a rumour I heard that anchoring is no longer allowed there?

I think I gave you Ken and Jan's mobile some months ago or has it changed? I also have their email somewhere if you haven't got it?
I heard from someone recently - reliable but I cannot remember who it was - that everything is changing in San An this year. nomad would be the most up to date, of course, but I don't suppose we'll see them around for a while. Despite rumours over the years that they are moving the buoys, I think that it might be happening this year since they extended the marina last year and Sebastian was given new duties. There were some extended liveaboards who don't fit their target profile who they are trying to move on, as well. Quicker to email than PM ybw.20.lemain@spamgourmet.com as I don't follow ybw all the time these days.

Wherever they fetch up you will hear 'Whispering Ken' long before he arrives!

I'll be in touch, wouldnt mind a berth in the marina, if one available for three weeks and at a half arsed reasonable cost.

Hi Col I was in St Antonio last June /July. There was not any restrictions then on anchoring. & quite a few mooring bouys, they charged my pal 8 euros a night for on of these. he was on it for 2 days before anyone came out to him. I shall be there again same time this year. I looked for your pals on Octola last year but could not find them. Surely you can anchor in the many calas, thats what we do for much of the time. Beware water from St Antonio is very saline.

Hiya! We will be anchoring for most of the time, and cruising around the island and formentera, when I am there, however when I have to go back to work, every three weeks or so, I dont want to leave my wife at anchor. Englander is a big girl (17m and 48 tons) and she cannot be handled by my wife alone. So I would like the option of putting her on a mooring or even a marina berth, for the three weeks I'm away. No worries for dinghy etc, we have a good leccy start sport boat and suitable lock up. Would just be happier if I dont have to worry about the anchor dragging etc when I'm in the middle of the northsea! My friends (Pauline and MrB, Riva 48) will be coming down in his boat as well and he will be anchoring or mooring with us. Yep, remember the water!! But we now have a 94 litre/hour watermaker, so the days of humping cans are hopefully over! Than ks very much for your input all gratefully received! I havent been to Ibza and sat antoni for about four years, so I guess things have changed a bit with the marina enlargement. I hope to be there early July.

The marina operated by the harbour master (office over the road opposite the yacht club slipway) is much cheaper than the yacht club marina, and people used to get good deals. We got a good deal for a couple of nights in 2006 when I needed to be alongside for some repairs. The HM staff are all uniformed and look officious but they are actually very nice and helpful. I don't like the yacht club people.
