Hi Farq' Staying here till July, then the Azores for a year or two is the plan.. in the middle of a HUGE refit at the moment.. the pontoon is covered in teak planks awaiting cutting.. Bit too hot today for wood work.. shorts only.
But, needs must.. Jayne has just gone for a new electrical extension as I just dropped mine over the side - DOH !!!
What a superb day today... a nice 80 degrees here in the Darsena.. AND, a reliable internet connection..
Ah well, back to work.
Joe

Ford mermaid diesel engines, wonderful!
Sailor VHF, enough said.
Sharp oceanpilot, autopilot, unbeatable.
ST50 instruments, good.
Rupes sanders, excellent.
Yamaha 30hp outboard, still going strong after 15 years.
I'm sure theres more, but that will do for now.

CHY 110 digital IR thermometer from Maplin - highly targeted measuring cone only a cm after several metres. You can take someones temperature from the other side of the room, measure all engine temperatures from the engine hatch, check oven and frying pan temps, fridge temps even in the far corners, sea temp, etc. Less than £30, ISTR.
Maplin thermostat kit - used to control fridge. I posted project details on ybw a year of so ago and yes, they contacts do last and fridge stays bang on set temperature, much better than the original mechanical switch. Less than £10, ISTR
Lots of other kit does what it says on the box but these exceed their spec, cost-value or my most optimistic expectations.

Its worst than that!!
All I have to do now is head for Spain look for a yacht called "Ruddles", wait for the crew to go ashore and then help myself to any parts on the list that was published above!

Rymans Laminator - has been a brilliant buy. I keep A4 and A6 pockets to protect official papers (e.g. ICC rating, Insurance papers, etc.) and other labels for outside use (e.g. warning signs that we have CCTV on board, in Spanish and English).
Ideal for the liveaboard!
