Mariner/Merc etc, fuel cap

Further to my post on Reader to Reader. Has anyone got a spare fuel cap for one of these 2.2 engines? Tohatsu are the generic base for the motor. Thanks.

Yes and the only difference with the Tohatsu is the fuel cap!

Cap is almost unused, check out the new price and make me an offer! I'm near Plumouth.

I hope to get an old cap, or just the rubber seals, for a fiver.

Give the tank a good check first because I replaced mine (at huge cost new) to find out the tank was defective around the neck. Good luck trying to find on for a fiver!

Thanks, will look at the neck. Can't see anything wrong with the seals but it still stinks the car out.

Sounds familiar! By the way the Tohatsu tank is half the price, fits but doesn't look great. Depends if you are concerned about it.
