I am planning and have been given the time off by my company to undertake a 3 month cruise in 2009. My plan is to cruise through the Greek Islands probably from Aug to Oct or June to Aug. At first i thought about buying but it has been suggested that a 3 month charter may be less hassle. Does anyone know of any reputable Charter companies (or individuals) who would charter for such a length of time at competitive rates? And any comments about which part of the summer I should lean towards. Thanks

Try Kiriacoulis and Kavas. Also you might find it cheaper if you contact Dan Lockyer at www.latesail.com.

I looked into doing this sort of thing. I got quotes from all over the place in Greece. At the end of the day it would have been cheaper to buy a boat and resell. Having said that.... in todays market, when reselling might be problematic, ......
All in all there's maybe not a lot in it whichever way you go. But I know it'll be expensive. For a 10mt charter I imagine you'll be looking at around £16k plus insurance etc etc

Me too! I'd rather lease or lease-share for a season (apr/sept western med) before committing to purchase/resale, and imagine this would suit owners who fancy a land break or cannot sell etc. but where are the brokers/market for this type of transaction?
