I have an idea there are two old MTBs or fast patrol boats (?) (sorry, I'm no expert to put it mildy) at Marina Bay, Gibraltar. I was there until autumn last year and I'm fairly sure I remember seeing them, not in the best of conditions, liveaboards or ex-liveaboards. I also seem to recall that one of them had been converted and used, years and years ago as some kind of floating chip shop . . .
I'm anyone is seriously interested I know someone who would know more, the facts even. PM me.

Someone posted on the forums a while back about an ageing relative who served on MTB's and was trying to find one for the relative to have a trip on. This could be a great opportunity, but can't remember who asked the question....can anyone remember?

I beleive the Fairmile was built by Toughs of Teddington ?

Hence why one of the apartment blocks built on the site of their old shipyard is called Fairmile House ...

John Tough is now a Boat Safety examiner in Tedders , i'm sure if you got in contact with him , he would be able to fill you in about the D class ...

The boat you refer to as a chip shop was MASB 32 and is now in Norfolk. Yes according to her history she was a chip shop in one of the Spanish marinas.
If you type MASB32 into your search engine it will direct you to the web site

She's just passed by! 14:20 hrs! What a sight and sound. I heard her and ran out of the office but too late to get pics.

Seriously impressive.
