I replied, thanking her for the most accurate Thames boating derived marketing email list available! 
Have just received a second email confirming a closure of just an hour but she didn't broadcast all the email addresses this time.

Last minute, I know, but I can confirm that I will not be attending 
I was really looking forward to meeting a few Thames Boaters, and especially Byron whose posts on this forum I generally find informative, thought provoking, or amusing, and I would like to publicly thank him for extending the invitation.
Glorious weather for it too. Hopefully next time!

Great shame you cannot be attend. We've stopped for a spot of lunch just after Whitchurch lock (at The Swan - there was a perfect mooring space for us). The weather is great and the river surprisingly quiet. Should be at Ashmount 5ish
