Navico Corus instruments - HELP!
      #1848748 - 06/05/2008 15:06

I unfortunately have Navico Corus instrumentation on my boat and the depth sounder has ceased to function. The transducer, which is of the 'in hull' type has been checked in another boat and works fine. All four multi-data instrument heads show identical readings when set to depth. That only leaves the active depth module to check out - it's an ATSD600 model, no longer made and no spares available. This unit is now in a repair shop in Marmaris, Turkey and the owner of the shop tells me he cannot repair it without a circuit diagram. So......my question is....does anyone know where I can get such a diagram? Or does anyone know of a place in UK that could repair it? Any help would be appreciated. E-mails to Simrad Navico bring no response - they are not interested in the private sector anymore it seems.

AW Marine at Gosport have the most old stock and will probably have a diagram. However, all the signal processing is done at the transducers in the Corus set-up, so it may be that.

No, the transducer can be heard ticking and when I plugged it into another Corus system on another boat in the marina, it worked fine and showed the depth correctly as 17 metres. The depth transducer and the speed impeller both plug into the ATSD600 as does the NMEA 600 unit. A monocable then links the four instrument heads in series to the ATSD600

Do you have an e-mail address for AW Marine?

Afraid not - they are at Haslar Marina and the number on the Haslar website is 023 9250 1207.
