The MCA website has a basic safety briefing list if that is any help?

Suggest you join the Marine Leisure Association http://www.marineleisure.co.uk/ if you need this sort of professional help and advice. Not mandatory by any means ; but good sense to do so.

I was also interested, and I found this - it's really for Inland Waterways, but still a good start.

Hi Dean

Be slightly careful putting a full safety document together. If someone follows it and damages themselves they may be able to sue - such are the silly times we live in. I would be inclined to put something like "As always please remember that the skipper is responsible for the safety of the boat and crew at all times - please make sure you give your crew a full safety briefing before going to sea" If you mean stuff like remember to turn off the gas and the tap is here xxxx then pm me with your email address and I will send you the documents we had on our charter boat
