You need to watch the postage costs with most of the ones on ebay (many are from china etc with £20 postage!).
I got one for £20 from www.cpc.co.uk - works well.

Our - cheap, superseded, ebay - laptop and gps 'makeshift' combo works well, so changing your mind ain't that daft. IMHO. [Obviously, don't rely on it alone, etc etc.] Hey, that CPC site is pretty cool !!

I've bought two from a company called expansys - online. GlobalSat BU-353 WaterProof USB GPS Receiver, about £35. The first came within two days of order, but the second took a couple of weeks. Great little device though. Always sits next to the laptop inside and hasn't lost the signal yet.

They still have some, I just bought a couple to act as spares, great price. Hope delivery is as good as the price.

Ours sits on a shelf by the chart table (where we can see it from the helm) between two small sections of ally angle, held down by - what else? - bit of thin bungy!

Thanks Apologies to all for the new For Sale sig but sitting here in Moissac we know we must bite the bullet, stop faffing around and actually make some effort to sell (much as we don't want to) so as to get another craft equally suited to inland waterways - but without 15m of mast lying horizontally over the deck and all for'ard lockers full of sails and other raggie stuff!
