Classic Harbour Launch Plans
      #1852433 - 09/05/2008 08:13

Hi, I have a great Stuart R3M which is in excellent condition. I would really to build a small 10-11ft dinghy to put it in, but I am struggling to find suitable plans. There are plenty of plans for small clinker style dinghies around, but I don't feel I am clever enough to adapt one of these myself. Has anyone come across a 'off the shelf' set of plans for a small dinghy launch with an inboard, such as the one that used to in abundance as hire boats in the likes of Salcombe harbour?

I'd take a look at woodenboat.com, the american equivalent of Classic Boat. Their website has a large shop section with hundreds of plans, at pretty reasonable prices. They range from punts to yachts and from ply boxes to full trad builds, so you should find something suitable!

Try the glen l web site. lots of stuff on there. I have bought plans from them before and received good service.

Cheers Colin
