Pages: 1 GrahamCaswell regular Reged: 02/05/2008 Posts: 10 Ghost net in the Irish Sea       #1854355 - 11/05/2008 02:16 Edit   Reply   Quote   Quick Reply   While crossing the Irish Sea last weekend (Mon, May 6th, 08) we encountered a substantial unmarked ghost net (i.e. a free-floating net). The net was approximately at the entrance to Cardigan Bay on the latitude of Aberystwyth. While we were able to cut ourselves free, unfortunately we couldn't mark the net. It was night , we lost contact with it and didn't want to steam around looking for it!
