A post in the thread in the lounge about burial at sea talked about how someones boat refused to start and the electrics didn't work on the day of their funeral, yet afterwards it started perfectly, and the mechanic couldn't understand why.
Do you have a special relationship with your pride and joy?
With mine, she always starts first time while I'm at the helm - if someone else tries to move her, she plays up a bit for them, and after a few strange movements when others have tried a go at the helm, I've decided she doesnt like being driven by anyone other than me... For example I'll be driving along at a good speed, I'll swap places with someone to give them a go and the engine will grumble a bit and the speed varies, whereas it was previously at a fixed speed while I was driving
I spend 2 hours after every trip out washing my boat, and we've become very attached - have you ever found something with your own boat that gives it that 'alive' feel?

Had they left the corpse resting against the isolator switch?

Burial at Sea can be a tricky excersize.
If it's Ashes yer lobbin over. Take care none goes in the Air Filter. Lob downwind else You'l taste the Deceased for ages.
If it's a whole one, beware the Splash and be sure to be in Neutral or Eng Off mode. Clumsy disposal could have severe cosequences. And further profits for the Undertaking Industry

Plus Don,t do serious, lifes too short.

My wife was very fond of our previous boat. She had given her a special nickname, decorated with fresh flowers etc.
I remember when we sold her (the boat) and as she was driven away by the new owners, SWMBO cried. I felt the same way, ofcourse, but rather than seeing the old boat going I saw the new boat arriving
