Yes, VERY Arthur Ransome. I never wanted to be dull ole Mate Susan, though - Captain Nancy, or better still, Titty - she had great oomph.

Serious question, would you consider hiring the boat to respected, or not so respected, or even not even slightly respected forumites...
well me and swmbo.
I want to get swmbo out in a dinghy to learn instantaneous sail trim, but am afraid my condition will stop me using a standard ply dinghy.. Your boat looks great for lumps like me to cross when tacking etc..
Maybe I should have pm'd this..

You can hire wayfarers at Coniston boating centre. These are wide enough and very stable and you can take them back broken without embarressment Coniston boating centre

Why is the Coracle dangling from the jetty? Or is that the shorepower cable? Oh! I know, silly me. It's to allow for the tide innit.
I,m getting into this saily lark. Had a go with Searush last year. We went nowhere for 2 hours too. Searush said "We wanna go over there" Then He 'points' the arrangement about 45 degrees somewhere else
Stiil, He knew what He was doing. I think. Crabs seem to go sideways too. See, I,m noticing these things now. It's a strange World in Saily Land. When's the next go Searush? I gotta learn more about going sideways!

Silly bugger. That's a loose mooring to allow the breeze to hold me off the jetty so my new fenders don't get dirty.
