Putting an offer on a Doral 250 tomorrow - any tips?
      #1860646 - 15/05/2008 23:40

You may remember me asking about a Doral 250 not so long ago. Well finances etc. finally came through today. I plan on going over the weekend after next and buy one. Going to go through Simco Marine. I won't say which boat i'm going to make the offer on

But does anyone have any specific things to look out for on this boat? Apart from cracks on the steps going to the windscreen which David @ Simco has confirmed there is none.

Fingers crossed my offer is accepted. If not, i'll just move onto something else

Read about a Monticello supposedly listing because of incorrect placement of genset/holding tank/summat, so you might want to check that.

Nice boat btw. Good luck.

Ah yes, that is a job i'll never forget, at least now I get the joke I actually based my inter re-fit on the Doral 250 blue interior - so now i'm finally getting what I want. Thankfully all that hard work was what sold that boat! I was actually sad to see it sold because of all the work I put in - but on to bigger and better things I guess

Thanks for all the tips, i'm taking notes here. Just waiting until 9am to ring Simco

Thanks Take5, it seems to be 'The one' ... for now anyhow

Heating, hot water, holding tank, inverter, lcd tv, surround sound, KAD 44 EDC etc. etc.

Quite an impressive spec really. She's never been left in the water, always dry stored - she isint even anti fouled!
