The Club's off to Ramsgate next Bank Holiday,24 May, 16 boats booked so far and we expect 25+ and we shall have a gathering at the Royal Temple YC on Sunday, but where can I take my two teenagers for a pleasant meal on Saturday night, which isn't Indian or Chinese, as we have a lot of these at home.
We like meat, fish, Italian, English or French style but know nothing about Thai, although willing to try.
Oh, keep a look out for a 'cocktail glass' banner on my forestay on the visitors pontoons and drop in to say hello

There is a new Italian that has opened up next door to the RTYC, could be worth a look.
The town is pretty well off for eateries, so you should be spoilt for choice.

Seem to remember eating at a Greek restaurant at Ramsgate which was recommended by a Ramsgate berthholder.

There is a Pizza Express in an old bank building on the northern edge of the marina near the classic boats. Closest thing to the stuff we had in Italy. Not your 'kids club' Pizza Hut rubbish. All the P's - Pinot Grigio, Peroni beer, Pasta, Pizza <sigh>

There's a Thai in the row of eateries in the terrace immediately beneath the club. There's a very good basic Italian, on the seafront beyond the above mentioned Pizza Express, it's called Alexandra.
