the union FANTASTIC also for a friendly beer try the corinthium yacht club smashing people but you have o belong to a rya affiliated club!

I take it you mean the Cowes Corinthian Yacht Club and not the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club - both in Cowes, but different entities.

yes thats the one ive not been in the royal one ,but happy with the one i visit allways a welcome there and last month thaey had a do on sat night and again quite happy to let a vistor in IF CARLSBERG MADE YACHT CLUBS THIS WOULD BE ONE OF THEIRS

...'cos we're all living in hope of finding some unexplored gem of a restaurant in Cowes but when we see it's a post about the Union and the CCYC, we all groan with disappointment, roll over and go back to sleep......

Try Manuels, a new family run med/portugese resturant at Shepherds Wharf - recommend the steaks & skewers and in particular the prawn soup. White Sangria excellent.
