Near Miss
      #1861579 - 16/05/2008 18:29

This thread on Scuttlebut shows a horrific near miss. Does anyone on here know what if any action has been taken against the ship's master?

Surely you meant a "near hit" or "near collision" as "near miss" specifies the excact opposite (ie they DID hit)

"Near miss" has been misused by the illiterate media for years. I think it came for the correct technical term an "Air Miss" which referred to a near collision between two aircraft.
