Outboard motor delivery/collection - urgent help needed please
      #1864756 - 19/05/2008 19:44

I've just bought myself a 20hp outboard on e-Bay at one end of the country whilst I live at the other end. There was an transport outfit on e-bay offering to collect and deliver outboards for £39 as part of their regular up & down delivery runs. Unfortunately, whilst they were there last week they are not there this week. Can any forumite please give me details of a company who do this WITHOUT having to box the thing up which the seller is not willing to do. Thanks.

From where to where, some body may be going the right way and be prepared to do it for you?

Whoopee - I've found the one I was looking for. For anyone else who may need a service like this I reproduce their blurb below. I haven't yet tried them and I know nothing about them and apologies to the moderator if I shouldn't have reproduced part of their advert but trying to get a 2nd hand outboard collected/delivered is a nightmare, hazardous goods, drain it, purge it, package it etc, most eBay sellers probably couldn't be bothered with all that which is why they all say collection in person only.

Geo-Bay-Deliveries – Courier Service

2 Cambridge Rd, Thornaby, Stockton on Tees, Cleveland. TS17 6LR.

"Email: geoffgeomagic@btclick.com Tel: 01642 671727 / 07704484232

This is a £35.00 set transportation fee for an Outboard Motor (0-25hp). This covers collection from and delivery to anywhere on our route – see route details below. If you have an outboard with a larger HP please email or telephone for individual quotation."
