Hi all,
With the boat being up for sale, I have finally decided to do the YM this summer/autumn.
So, I'm looking for two, three, or four, others who are also studying for the theory and planning to do the practical later in the year.
Here's the plan: We do some sailing together through the summer, on my yacht, and get the basics well sorted out. then, we hire a good instructor for a week, and an examiner for a weekend, and do the practicals. We all end up better prepared and better off financially.
Shared contribution of costs - and care when parking the beast - are both expected. The yacht is a very well equipped 42ft cruiser/racer.
Drop me a PM if interested. This could work for 2 couples or 4 singles.

Did mine in the solent over easter. Could point you in the right direction of a good instructor who knows some good examiners too. PM if interested. Good luck with it.

You say the boat is up for sale.
What happens if it sells midway through this process?
