After a tough up wind trip from Cangas we sailed in to Bayona undecided where to go.At this momment we where approched by a fast launch directing us to the marina, not the yacht club.We tied up in said marina. It would seem that the toilets where an after thought and had not been cleaned for a while.Later on we strolled round to the yacht club and were assured of a warm welcome the next time we looked for a berth in Bayona.By the way Cangas on the port side of the Ria de Vigo has a better shore life and shops:beats Bayona hands down except for the comfy armchairs in the yacht club!

The marina there is terrible if you're living on board - As you said, toilets etc were definitely an afterthought (or just choppered in!). Also if I remember correctly, the visitor berths are a mile away from land, and it was expensive. The Sanxenxo marina about 20nm into the Rias was brand new and less than half the price, and may have had the best toilets I've seen so far! The anchorage in Bayona ok though...

Absolutely right: always go to the yacht club in Bayona. Great place with very good service, excellent showers and one of the nicest yacht club bars in this world. The yacht club is a serious institution with three Americas Cup challenges to its merit.

Has to one of the worst marinas on the coast! crap facilities and staff very rude and unhelpfull. We went back out to anchor, it was much more pleasant. Would use the Yacht Club next time I'm in the area though.
