anyone need midweek winter crew in Essex,Kent, Suf
      #187520 - 21/01/2002 00:31

I am getting withdrawal symptoms and need to go sailing immediately. Does anyone in the Essex/Thames/Kent/Suffolk area with a boat still in the water need a friendly crewman for the occasional midweek day or two.

I promise to buy the skipper beer ( Shepherd Neame preferably) or treat him to lunch or dinner.

Sorry no dinghies....Grew out of them years ago. Thames sailing barge with glowing stove , bar in the saloon and cosy berth with a very high TOG duvet is more my cup of tea.

Any other East Coast lunatics out there want to form a winter midweek crewing/yarning club? We could hold lunchtime meetings at the Ferry Boat Inn, North Fambridge. What a lovely pub that is and it has great food and beautifully-kept Shepherd Neame too.

Cheers

BR
