I want to line my cabin with wood, in the manner of a traditional cabin interior. I think the sort of wood which Ikea et al wooden venetian blinds are made of would be good. This would be pretty expensive though. Any ideas ?

I'm a great fan of Iroko. This wood lasts well in a marine environment and is readily available. If I understand your plan correctly then you will want it prepared in long thin strips. A timber yard can do this for you but you might find it quite expensive. Good luck.

lined mine with TGV from B&Q
see
seemed to work quite well... Epoxied it up, and supported with stuts while going off.

I painted the inside of my cabin, I think it looks good being able to see the constrcution and less chance of trapping any moisture.
