My calculations suggest that after adding an hour or two for this and subtracting a couple more for something else, the gates at Richmond should lower at around 14.50 BST and allow a possible visitor to fork out £85.00 quid for a 15 day EA licence to visit the river.?

High Tide London Bridge is 14:50 GMT, so the Sluices at Richmond GO UP at roughly the same time BST, no need to do adding and subtraction.

Sounds about right ....

Presumably you have come up with the £85 figure by working out the length x breadth and using the chart ? not just a random guess ...

I see you are on the Medway , if you have a Medway EA licence you are entitled to 15 days free visit onto the Thames once a year , this doesn't apply to a Medway Ports licence though.

See you on friday 20th !

Thanks for comments gents.
Have only Medway tide table so...
Got to add 1 x hour for BST.
add 1 x hour for Tower Bridge HW
add 1 x hour for Teddington

subtract 2 x hours for Richmond and err ...Hey Presto.
Just a bit keen to avoid using the lock at Richmond having had the pleasure last time we came round.

Here we go mate , PLA tide tables .

http://www.portoflondon.co.uk/display_fixedpage.cfm?id=11&site=maritime

HW Teddington is two hours after London Bridge ( when we are in BST ) ...

Richmond lift their sluices roughly at HW London Bridge.

Just add two hours on to London Bridge time to find when Richmond will lift.

See you soon.

H
