I think it was March, we had been inundated with snow all over Britain to real depths. Then in only a couple of days it all melted and Britain was drowned.

But there were still snow drifts above Glossop in the Peak District in June - I started work there in early March, buses in a singletrack with snow each side up to the top of the bus windows
