Birthday party
      #1884386 - 05/06/2008 20:23

Like the NHS, Border Maid is 60 this year and I thought it would be fun to have a small celebration. For those in the neighbourhood cake and refreshments will be served at 11am on pontoon D at Port Edgar on Saturday 14th June. We have no idea exactly when the launch day was but mid June seems as good a time as any.

It was reported on here somewhere.
You could get that many peeps they sink the Pontoon.

Seriously
Have a jolly good day and I hope all go's well.
Toast her with a dram of Scotland's finest.
Cheers David.
I wish they would change the pint pot to a tot glass.

Glad to hear someone else celebrates their boat's major birthdays. We had a head breaking bash for my old boats 30th and more subdued drink and then Pub dinner for her 40th. Something to do with her launch date having been haloween, and the switch from Oz to here.

Best wishes for the young thing!

Ken
Had another look at Border Maid yesterday evening and she looked fine. I am taking SWMBO to France for a week as Bosun is still in G Yarmouth being repaired (SWMBO promised me a week of varnishing in repayment though). As we are leaving on Saturday morning, too early to be real fun, we shall miss the birthday party. However, have a super day and we shall meet on my return.

Regards

Frank
